BRAKE THE HUNGER CYCLE TOUR is a fun bike ride through scenic Morris County, New Jersey which benefits efforts of ending hunger, both locally and globally.  The event is an enjoyable ride, not a race, where participants ride any of five routes from 4 miles to 62 miles, traveling a route supported from start to finish with rest stops, food to fuel the journey and fans to cheer them on!  The BRAKE THE HUNGER CYCLE TOUR boasts some of the most scenic and beautiful scenery in New Jersey. Cyclists of all levels of expertise are sure to enjoy this unique day of fun, fitness, friendships and the personal satisfaction of completing a ride that helps those who are hungry. All profits from the event will be given to local and international organizations that aim to alleviate the issues of poverty and hunger.

The bike routes offers unique and spectacular views of Morris County, its’ farm lands, lakes, ponds, wildlife and New England-like barn scenes. Cyclists will ride along the picturesque back roads that make Morris County the unique setting often featured in colorful calendars.

Riders are offered a choice on the BRAKE THE HUNGER CYCLE TOUR, the 62-mile "Metric Century", 40-mile Platinum, 25-mile Gold, 12-mile Silver and 4-mile Bronze routes, all of which will start and finish at the St. David’s Episcopal Church parking lot in Kinnelon, NJ.

St. David’s Episcopal Church of Kinnelon is hosting this benefit event and donating all profits to meet both global and local needs.  We will donate 75% of the profits to international aid organizations to help bring clean water to Africa.  The remaining 25% will go to the Community Food Bank of New Jersey to help local efforts dealing with the recent economic dislocation.

Plan to relax and enjoy a huge CELEBRATION after the ride with lunch provided by Duke’s BBQ (including a vegetarian option), live music by New Jersey's AisleFive rock band (www.aislefiveband.com) and plenty of family fun activities to round out the day.
