How difficult will the riding
be?
Our routes have long and short options which
allow the entire range of riders to enjoy the
event. Four and twelve mile routes are
available and suggested for those not accustomed
to longer events while the twenty-five, forty
and sixty-two mile routes are more appropriate
for the experienced bikers.
Are there any age limitations
for the participants?
The only limitation is associated with youth
twelve years of age and under who must ride
alongside an accompanying adult.
Is the fee tax-deductable?
Yes. 100% of your fee goes to the cause!
What kind of traffic is on
the roads?
You will be riding on county roads, many of
which are designated as bike routes. However,
riders must always be aware since these roads do
see road traffic.
What happens if it rains?
The event will be run come rain or shine. There
will not be any refunds.
What happens if I have
problems on the road?
Event staff will be riding Support & Gear (SAG)
Wagons to provide assistance to riders. Each
rider will also receive emergency contact
telephone numbers for us to direct the SAG
vehicles.
What do I do if I get a flat
tire?
Event staff in SAG Wagons (see above) will be
available to assist riders. Riders must bring
their own repair equipment including spare tire
tubs.
Do I need to wear a helmet?
All participants must wear helmets throughout
the ride, which meet ANSI, SNELL or CPSC
standards.
Can we get our money back if
we don’t attend on the day of the event?
No. There will not be any refunds. But your
donation will go to a great cause. We really
hope you can attend the event. It's really a
lot of fun.
Can we get the routes ahead
of time?
No. The routes, including a route sheet and
ticket for the BBQ, will be provided at the
registration desk on the day of the event.
What should I bring?
Is there any preparation for
the ride?
Ours’ is one of the earlier rides of the
season. Make sure to clean off the bike and get
in a little road work if you are scheduled for
one of the longer routes.
